An antique hard to find 18 carat gold dolphin seal ring, dating to circa 1900.
The dolphin is a symbol of good luck, guidance, and protection, and in Roman times was often associated with Venus, goddess of love, who was born from the sea.
Seal rings a hard to find the best of times, but this is my first ever sighting of a dolphin signet ring in 12+ years of selling antique jewellery. A holy grail piece indeed!
Faded hallmarks. Tests tests positively for 18 carat gold. Sits flush to the finger with a smooth and comfortable feel.
Can be polished upon request.
